Notice for Campus Recruitment Drive
We are pleased to announce that the Indian Army will be visiting our campus for recruitment under University Entry Scheme for Final and Pre-final year students of Engineering Degree Course, UES Course-22 (Batches 2012 and 2013 passing out). The details are as follows: (Date of drive will be intimated later)
About Indian Army
A UNIQUE, TYPICALLY Indian struggle wrested freedom for the country from the British Crown at midnight on 14/15 August 1947. With freedom, came also the partition of the country and the birth of Pakistan. Britain withdrew from the subcontinent with some grace, but in haste. At the moment of independence, the old Indian Army stood divided between the Dominions of Pakistan and India. In the meantime, demobilization had commenced with vigour, and by June 1947 the active strength of the Army stood at some 500,000. Finally, 400,000 men, and countrywide movable and immovable assets were shared under a complicated scheme supervised by a British presence in the form of a Supreme Headquarters. All this was done under heart-rending conditions of turmoil and strife in the Punjab and Bengal.
Eligibility: Unmarried male Engineering Degree students studying in Pre-final year (3rd Year)
in academic session July 2011-2012 for Grant of Permanent Commission in the Army.
In addition to above the Final year candidates can exercise their option for following:
(i) TGC - 115 (July 2012) terms and conditions will be same as applicable to regular TGC-115 course.
(ii) SSC (T) - 39 (October 2012) terms and condition will be same as applicable to SSC (T)-39 course.
(iii) Unmarried female candidates studying in final year can exercise their option for SSCW(T)-10 only. (Terms and condition will be same as applicable to SSCW(T)-10 commencing in October 2012
Note: A) Induction in TGC/SSC (T)/SSCW (T) entries is an opportunity provided to candidates
studying in final year, otherwise, there is no change in existing terms and conditions and
procedure for induction inti TGC/SSC(T) Men/Women entries
B) Final year candidates should not apply again on-line for TGC-115/SSC(T)-39 and SSCW (T)-10 Courses,
against Notifications that are given later for these courses
A number of students have already forwarded their applications to Indian Army (Last date for applying was 31st July 2011). In addition, students from our campus are allowed to apply till 8th August 2011. For detailed information of eligibility and application form etc. please refer Employment News dated 2th to 8th July 2011.
You are requested to inform all the students of 2012 and 2013 passing out batches and please arrange to submit the duly filled in forms at CRC latest by 8th August 2011 before 4:00 pm on priority basis. The students who have already applied against the above said advertisement, need not to apply afresh.
