Attendance Circular

Circular

In order to further improve the attendance of students in the various colleges of CGC, the following measures are to be adopted.
1. 75% attendance is required for each sessional exams in each semester. 75% attendance means total attendance in each of Theory, Practical, Group Discussion, Case Study periods.
2. Attendance will be monitored by the respective Principals in the afternoon session also.
3. Student’s name will be struck off in case of continuous absence for 10 (ten) days in any Subject, Practical, Group Discussion or Case Study.

4. 75% attendance is required in each subject individually, failing to do so the student in the concerned subject will not be allowed to appear in sessional exams, internal practical exams, final theory and practical exam.

5.  In case the student’s name is stuck off for first time, Principal of the concerned college will be authorized to admit the student with a fine of Rs. 300 and undertaking by the student. This fine will be collected by the concerned Class Counsellor. This process will continue upto 31.01.10 (or 15.02.10 in case of B.Tech 2nd semester students).

6. If a student reports for attending the classes of the current semester after 31.01.10 or 15.02.10 (in case of B.Tech 2nd semester students), he/she will not be allowed to attend classes. Instead he/she will be sent to the Director-General.
7. In case a student’s name is struck off for second time, the student will be admitted only with the permission of Director-General, CGC, after the parents come along with the student and satisfy the Director General regarding attendance of their wards.
