TR35: Young Innovators Under the Age of 35
Call for Nominations
Dear Sibarshis,
Greetings from Technology Review!
I am writing on behalf of our editor Srinivas Rao requesting you to help us spot the young technology innovation leaders of tomorrow.
MIT Technology Review's prestigious TR35 awards recognizing the world's top young innovators have been a great success in recent years. Established in 1999 as the TR100, the TR35 list of Technology Review published by Technology Review Inc., an independent media company owned by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, recognizes the outstanding innovators under the age of 35 each year. The awards span a wide range of fields, including biotechnology, materials, computer hardware, energy, transportation, and the Internet. Technology Review's first "INDIA TR35" list of 35 young innovators appeared in March 2010, recognizing the outstanding innovators under the age of 35 from India.
Now, we are seeking nominations for the 2011 class of INDIA TR35 winners. The final deadline for the nominations is over BUT you may send in nominations by filling up the attached form or request nominees to fill up the detailed form (attached) and send it to us latest by Jan 17, 2011!
We would like to ask your help in identifying innovative young men and women who would be superior candidates for the INDIA TR35 2011. The awards span a wide range of technologies from biotechnology, arts and entertainment, and software development to semiconductors, transportation, energy, and new materials research. We are searching for individuals who will be under age 35 as of October 1, 2011, and whose superb technical work holds great promise to shape the next decades. Our goal is to recognize the development of new technology or the creative application of existing technologies to solve problems, to reward ingenious and elegant work that matters to India and the world at large -- not just to peers in a particular field or industry.
You can view profiles of the previous INDIA TR35 honorees on our website at http://www.technologyreview.in/tr35/index.aspx?Year=2010&Channel=All.
The Indian edition of Technology Review will showcase the INDIA TR35 finalists, including the "Innovator of the Year," in its March 2011 issue. A distinguished panel of judges--technologists, inventors, and entrepreneurs--will evaluate the nominees. We will also recognize the finalists at our EmTech Conference and awards program on March 22-23, 2011.
So please help us to identify and recognize India's most promising young technology innovators. And please spread the word to other potential nominators. If you have any questions about the nominations and upcoming awards, check our online FAQs at http://www.technologyreview.in/tr35/faq.aspx. If your question is not answered there, feel free to contact the project's editor srinivasch@cybermedia.co.in or me vantikad@cybermedia.co.in.
Thank you very much for your help.
Looking forward to your response,
Warm regards,
Vantika Dixit
